
Spark Minda has appointed Samar Gupta as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), strengthening the organisation’s leadership in technology and digital transformation. In this role, Gupta will lead the company’s information technology strategy, focusing on driving digital transformation initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making, and aligning technology investments with the group’s business growth and operational excellence.
Based in Noida, Gupta will be responsible for bringing the value of information technology to support business transformation while shaping both short-term and long-term technology strategies for the organisation. His role will involve strengthening enterprise systems, enhancing digital capabilities, and ensuring that technology platforms support the evolving needs of Spark Minda’s global operations.
Prior to joining Spark Minda, Gupta served as Vice President and Head – Group IT at ANAND Group India, where he led technology operations across multiple group companies. During his tenure, he was responsible for overseeing IT strategy and infrastructure across the group’s businesses, supporting digital initiatives and operational improvements across various manufacturing and automotive component entities.
Earlier in his career, Gupta held senior technology leadership roles at Stryker, where he served as Head of IT Infrastructure, SAP Basis, Application Performance, and Security at the Global Technology Center in Gurugram. In this position, he led enterprise technology infrastructure and managed large-scale IT systems supporting global operations.
Before that, he worked as Global Head of IT Infrastructure and Security at Actis, where he was responsible for developing and managing enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity frameworks across the organisation’s operations.
Gupta also held the role of Service Delivery Manager and Operations Consultant (Technical Account Manager) at Microsoft, where he supported enterprise technology environments and helped organisations optimise their IT infrastructure and operations.
Earlier in his career, he gained additional experience through roles at organisations including Wipro, Capgemini, and Concentrix, building a strong foundation in enterprise systems, IT infrastructure management, and digital strategy.
With extensive experience across technology leadership, enterprise infrastructure, and digital transformation, Gupta’s appointment is expected to strengthen Spark Minda’s technology capabilities while supporting the group’s ongoing efforts to integrate digital innovation into its business operations and long-term growth strategy.
