Samsung has reportedly rolled out the third beta update of One UI 8 for its upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Based on Android 16, the latest beta version focuses primarily on bug fixes rather than introducing new features, according to user reports and tipster Tarun Vats.
The One UI 8 Beta 3 update is currently live in select regions, including Germany, the UK, and South Korea. Vats, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), noted that the update comes with build numbers S938BXXU4ZYFA, S938BOXM4ZYFA, or S938BXXU4BYFA, depending on the market. The firmware size is reportedly around 3.65GB.
While the changelog appears nearly identical to the one issued with the Beta 2 release, the latest update addresses several critical issues. “The update is said to fix an issue which caused an overlap between the status bar in the Recents app and the running app menu in the specific status bar of NaviStar,” according to the changelog shared by Vats. Additionally, a screen preview feature has reportedly been reintroduced in the Laboratory section.
A significant focus of Beta 3 is fixing text input bugs. “One UI 8 Beta 3 is said to include a patch for a bug which caused keyboard input to only happen when it reboots on the Security folder PIN input screen,” the report states. It also resolves two major input-related issues—“a text input ‘swipe to type’ error when using gesture” and “another text input ‘S Pen to text’ error with the S-Pen.”
Alongside these fixes, Samsung has reportedly updated multiple apps to enhance software stability and performance. While currently live in Germany, the UK, and South Korea, the beta update is expected to reach additional markets soon.
With this rollout, Samsung continues to refine the Galaxy S25 series software ahead of its official launch, aiming to deliver a smoother and more stable experience to beta testers.
