Adfactors PR has announced the appointment of Shilpa Desai as Senior Vice President – Digital & Innovation for its BFSI & Capital Markets Practice. Bringing with her over two decades of experience, Desai is set to strengthen the firm’s capabilities in digital strategy, innovation, and integrated communications for financial services clients.
Desai is the founder of Digital by Design, a boutique consultancy specializing in digital strategy and transformation. Her corporate career includes significant leadership roles at HDFC ERGO General Insurance, where she served as EVP – Head Marketing, and at Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd. as GM – Head Marketing & CSR. At IDFC FIRST Bank, she was part of the launch team and led digital sales and business intelligence, contributing to the bank’s early growth and adoption of digital-first approaches.
Her previous experience also includes shaping digital transformation at Standard Chartered Bank, where she was Regional Head – Digital Marketing for India & South Asia, building digital capabilities and consumer engagement models. Earlier in her career, she spearheaded digital sales initiatives at ICICI Bank, driving adoption of online banking channels.
Desai’s professional journey began with the Mahindra Group, where she was responsible for CRM for Scorpio, an experience that laid the foundation for her expertise in customer relationship management and data-driven strategy. Over the years, she has successfully blended corporate, consulting, and entrepreneurial experience, bringing a unique perspective to business growth, brand building, and digital innovation in the financial services ecosystem.
