
Shruti Bhatia has been appointed as the Asia AI Workforce Business Go-to-Market Leader for ASEAN, Greater China, India, and South Asia at Microsoft. This strategic leadership role will see her drive Microsoft’s AI workforce agenda across some of the fastest-growing and diverse markets in Asia-Pacific. With over 15 years of service at Microsoft, Shruti brings deep expertise in business transformation, cloud, and AI-led strategies to accelerate adoption and innovation in the region.
During her career at Microsoft, Shruti has held several influential positions that shaped the company’s growth in India and beyond. Her journey includes serving as Country Head for Modern Work & Surface for India & South Asia, where she was instrumental in strengthening productivity and collaboration solutions. She also held the roles of Chief of Staff and Strategy & Transformation Lead for Microsoft India, as well as Director-level positions in Sales Strategy, Partner Marketing, and Business Applications. In each of these capacities, she played a pivotal role in advancing cloud adoption, scaling Modern Workplace solutions, and fostering a robust partner ecosystem across enterprise, SMB, and public sector organizations.
Before joining Microsoft, Shruti built a strong foundation in business strategy and technology leadership through roles at Oracle, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Max New York Life Insurance, Tata Infotech, IDC India, and Publicis Groupe. Her responsibilities spanned alliances, marketing, and sales, giving her a well-rounded perspective across multiple industries and business functions.
Her extensive background in AI, cloud platforms, and partner strategy positions her uniquely to lead Microsoft’s AI workforce initiatives. In this new role, Shruti will focus on enabling organizations across the region to embrace AI responsibly, scale digital transformation, and unlock productivity through new-generation workforce solutions.
