SiMa.ai Partners Kaynes Semicon to Scale ‘Make in India’ Physical AI Solutions for Global Markets

SiMa.ai has announced a strategic partnership with Kaynes Semicon to expand high-performance Physical AI solutions across India and global markets by combining SiMa.ai’s integrated hardware-software AI platform with Kaynes Semicon’s OSAT and advanced manufacturing capabilities. The collaboration aims to deliver “Make in India” electronic systems for artificial intelligence and machine learning while localising critical semiconductor packaging to strengthen supply chain resilience and significantly reduce time to market.

Under the partnership, the two companies will target a wide range of sectors including industrial automation, robotics, automotive, aerospace and defence. By bringing semiconductor assembly, testing and manufacturing closer to deployment markets, the alliance seeks to address key challenges around scalability, reliability and security that are increasingly important for edge AI and mission-critical applications.

Krishna Rangasayee, CEO and founder of SiMa.ai, said the company’s growing focus on India is anchored in the country’s engineering depth and ability to scale complex systems. He noted that the partnership supports SiMa.ai’s long-term ambition to deliver effortless machine learning across industries and to position India as a “global force in physical AI.” By integrating local manufacturing with its MLSoC platforms, SiMa.ai aims to make edge AI deployment faster, more accessible and more cost-efficient for customers worldwide.

As part of the collaboration, Kaynes Semicon will design and manufacture production-ready reference boards for SiMa.ai’s MLSoC platforms. These reference designs will allow customers and system integrators to quickly evaluate, prototype and deploy SiMa.ai’s “push-button” AI inference technology at the edge. The companies said this approach will help organisations move rapidly from proof-of-concept pilots to full-scale commercial rollouts across diverse industrial environments.

Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, highlighted the broader ecosystem impact of the partnership. “By fusing Kaynes’ advanced OSAT and manufacturing capabilities with SiMa.ai’s world-leading AI at the edge, we’re empowering critical industries to innovate at scale,” he said. He added that the collaboration is also focused on building a trusted and secure semiconductor supply chain while delivering defence-focused AI solutions for applications such as smart vision, robotics, surveillance and autonomous systems in both Indian and international markets.

The partnership reflects a broader push to strengthen India’s role in the global semiconductor and AI value chain. By combining indigenous manufacturing with advanced AI technologies, SiMa.ai and Kaynes Semicon aim to support strategic sectors, reduce dependence on overseas supply chains, and accelerate the adoption of physical AI solutions that operate reliably at the edge.
