Steelbird Director Manav Kapur Appointed Chairman of ACMA Aftermarket Pillar

Mr. Kapur takes on this new responsibility after successfully completing his tenure as Chairman of ACMA’s Young Business Leaders Forum (YBLF)

New Delhi – Mr. Manav Kapur has been appointed as the Chairman of the Aftermarket Pillar of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). The aftermarket sector is a critical part of India’s automotive industry, supporting mobility, generating employment, and ensuring road safety. Under Mr. Kapur’s leadership, the Aftermarket Pillar will focus on advancing initiatives that strengthen competitiveness, promote deeper localization, and enhance the global footprint of Indian auto component manufacturers.

Mr. Kapur takes on this new responsibility after successfully completing his tenure as Chairman of ACMA’s Young Business Leaders Forum (YBLF), where he was leading initiatives to strengthen industry engagement and build future leadership. Following this, he has handed over the YBLF leadership to Mr. Akhilesh Rai, Director, Suprajit Engineering.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manav Kapur said, “The Indian aftermarket is at an inflection point. With rising vehicle ownership, a growing focus on safety, and India’s expanding role in global mobility value chains, there is a tremendous opportunity to transform this sector. Our priority will be to drive initiatives that not only make India self-reliant but also position our aftermarket industry as a trusted global partner.”

This announcement comes alongside the appointment of Mr. Vikrampati Singhania, Managing Director, JK Fenner (India) Ltd., as the new President of ACMA for 2025–26, and Mr. Sriram Viji, Managing Director, Brakes India Pvt. Ltd., as President Designate. The new leadership team will work closely with Mr. Vinnie Mehta, Director General of ACMA, and other office bearers to steer the auto component industry through a period marked by technological transformation, electrification, supply chain realignments, and global expansion.

ACMA, the apex body representing India’s auto component industry, has been instrumental in shaping policies, promoting innovation, and building global partnerships. With over 950 members contributing more than 2.3% of India’s GDP, ACMA continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the nation’s vision of Make in India, localization, and sustainability.
