Suneel will lead the digital technology roadmap for Planetcast, focusing on building future-ready solutions across OTT, AI, and cloud ecosystems. His appointment comes at a pivotal time as the company deepens its investments in cutting-edge technologies and global market expansion.
Before joining Planetcast, Suneel was Senior Vice President of Engineering at ZEE – Technology & Innovation, where he played a pivotal role in transitioning the organization from traditional broadcasting to a digital-first media-tech enterprise. During his time at Zee, he led transformative initiatives for Zee5, including the deployment of multi-cloud strategies and enhancements to video delivery infrastructure that improved viewing experiences for millions of users.
His earlier stints at ACT, Huawei, and Cisco cemented his standing as a leader in media streaming technologies, while his extensive work at companies like PacketVideo, HCL Technologies, Samsung Electronics, and Applied Electro Magnetics Pvt Ltd contributed to innovations in multimedia and OTT solutions.
Notably, Suneel has made a global impact by contributing to ISO media standards and collaborating with the Android founding team on the platform’s early media stack, showcasing his influence on how multimedia technologies have evolved worldwide.
