Swiggy has announced the appointment of Saurav Goyal as the Head of its Driver and Delivery Organisation, marking a significant leadership transition at the Bengaluru-based on-demand convenience platform.
Goyal, who joined Swiggy in June 2020, has been leading the company’s Business Finance vertical. In that role, he played a key part in shaping financial strategy and preparing the company for its IPO journey. In his new capacity, he will now focus on initiatives that support and empower Swiggy’s delivery partners, described by the company as a cornerstone of its service ecosystem.
Goyal brings nearly 20 years of experience in strategic finance and operational leadership, with prior stints at Ola, Flipkart, and Tata Communications. Known for his expertise in business transformation and sustainable growth, Goyal is expected to bring a strong execution focus to his new mandate.
In a LinkedIn post, Goyal shared, “While I’ll still be leading Business Finance for a bit, my energy is now shifting to the heart of Swiggy’s mission to elevate the quality of life for the urban consumer by offering unparalleled convenience: our amazing delivery partners. They’re the backbone of our reliability and reach!”

The move comes as Swiggy continues to double down on operational efficiency and partner welfare, key elements in maintaining its competitive edge against rivals like Zomato in India’s hyper-competitive food delivery and convenience services market.
