T-Mobile has named Srini Gopalan as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2025. Currently serving as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Gopalan steps into the top role with decades of experience across global telecom and business leadership. His appointment underscores T-Mobile’s focus on driving innovation, operational excellence, and customer-first growth in a competitive industry landscape.
Gopalan has built an accomplished career within Deutsche Telekom Group, where he has held multiple senior positions. He served as Board Member for Germany and Managing Director of Telekom Deutschland GmbH, as well as Board Member responsible for Europe, overseeing operations in markets including Greece, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Austria, Macedonia, and Montenegro. These roles positioned him at the center of Deutsche Telekom’s European business strategy, where he played a pivotal role in steering transformation and performance.
Before joining Deutsche Telekom, Gopalan gained extensive experience across several leading telecom and consumer organizations. He worked at Bharti Airtel as Consumer Director, at Vodafone as Consumer Director, and as Chief Marketing Officer at T-Mobile UK, where he contributed to the landmark joint venture with Orange that formed Everything Everywhere (EE), one of the UK’s largest mobile operators.
Gopalan’s career also spans financial services and consulting. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Capital One UK, held a Senior Manager role at Accenture, and began his professional journey at Unilever India as an Area Sales Manager. This breadth of experience across industries has shaped him into a versatile leader with a strong customer and business transformation focus.
