Umang Khurana has been appointed as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at SAEL, marking a key addition to the company’s leadership team as it expands its presence in the renewable energy sector.
In this role, he will oversee critical functions including strategy, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, risk management, and corporate communications. His mandate will be central to shaping SAEL’s growth trajectory and supporting its expansion across the renewable energy landscape.
Prior to joining SAEL, Khurana spent over a decade at Hero MotoCorp, where he held multiple leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Head of Investor Relations & Business Support, working closely with the chairman’s office to drive strategic initiatives across the organization. He also took on responsibilities as Chief Risk Officer, strengthening enterprise risk frameworks alongside investor engagement.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at OYO, KPMG, and Ranbaxy, building broad expertise across corporate strategy, capital markets, and finance.
With extensive experience spanning investor relations, risk, and strategic planning, Umang Khurana brings a well-rounded perspective to his new role. His appointment is expected to support SAEL’s long-term growth ambitions while strengthening its strategic and financial positioning in a rapidly evolving energy ecosystem.
