Based in Pune, Lakshmi will spearhead Workday’s talent acquisition strategy, focusing on advancing recruitment innovation, operational excellence, and diversity-driven hiring to build a future-ready workforce.
With nearly two decades of international experience, Lakshmi brings a strong background in strategic hiring, leadership development, and workforce transformation across industries. Her appointment reinforces Workday’s commitment to strengthening its global talent agenda and cultivating an inclusive, high-performance culture that supports the company’s continued growth.
Lakshmi has spent over 19 years in leadership roles across leading organizations such as McKinsey & Company, BlackRock, Standard Chartered, HCLTech, and Accenture. She is widely recognized for driving large-scale talent transformations and embedding people-centric strategies that align closely with organizational goals.
Before joining Workday, Lakshmi served as Head of Recruitment for McKinsey’s India Consulting Office, where she led transformational initiatives that optimized recruitment operations and enhanced talent delivery across the firm’s India network. Prior to McKinsey, she held a regional leadership role at BlackRock, where she led recruitment for the APAC region and integrated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles into the core of the hiring process.
A graduate of XLRI Jamshedpur, Lakshmi brings deep expertise in leadership hiring, workforce planning, and scaling global recruitment operations across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. Her extensive experience positions her to lead Workday’s efforts in attracting top talent, building agile teams, and advancing its mission to shape the future of work through people and technology.
