Yotta Data Services is seeking a valuation of around $4 billion as it prepares for its planned initial public offering (IPO). The Mumbai-based AI infrastructure and data centre company is looking to raise approximately $500 million to $600 million in a pre-IPO funding round, with plans to file its draft prospectus in the coming weeks, according to people familiar with the matter.
The company is also expected to raise a similar amount through the public issue, signaling a significant step toward its public market debut. As part of the IPO process, Yotta is reportedly in discussions with investment banks including the local arms of Nomura, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Securities, and Kotak Securities.
Yotta has also drawn interest from global investors, including sovereign wealth funds such as Mubadala Investment Company, along with participation from Indian family offices.
Positioned as a domestic alternative to global technology players, Yotta operates large-scale data centre infrastructure and runs one of India’s largest clusters of Nvidia AI processors. The company is aligning its growth with India’s broader push to build sovereign AI capabilities and strengthen its position in the global AI ecosystem.
The development comes at a time when global technology giants such as Amazon and Alphabet are significantly increasing investments in AI infrastructure, including in India. Against this backdrop, Yotta is accelerating its expansion in AI compute capacity and data centre capabilities to capitalize on rising demand.
As India emerges as a key hub for data centres and AI-driven investments, Yotta’s planned IPO and fundraising efforts are expected to play a crucial role in scaling its infrastructure and strengthening its position in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
