BENGALURU – Zetwerk Electronics, a unit of the $2.1 billion Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses, has launched a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, aiming to generate employment for over 2,000 people.
The facility was inaugurated on Wednesday and is set to strengthen the company’s ability to support various high-growth segments within the Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. These include industries such as telecom, automotive, industrial equipment, consumer durables, and strategic electronics.
This marks Zetwerk’s eighth manufacturing unit, following the opening of its largest electronics plant near Chennai just three months ago. The Chennai facility was part of the company’s previously announced ₹1,000 crore investment plan. In addition to Chennai and Bengaluru, Zetwerk also operates facilities in Noida and Gurugram, expanding its network of specialized units across India.
“This new investment strengthens our ambition to serve high-growth sectors with world-class manufacturing solutions from India,” said Josh Foulger, President – Zetwerk Electronics.
According to the company, Bengaluru’s dynamic industrial landscape, skilled workforce, and excellent connectivity make it an ideal hub for advanced manufacturing initiatives.
“Bengaluru has long been at the heart of India’s industrial and innovation ecosystem. This facility will play a vital role in expanding our manufacturing capabilities and delivering enhanced value to our customers,” said Rahul Sharma, Co-founder of Zetwerk.
The company added that its expanding operations aim to reach a production capacity of two devices per second from its factories in India.
Zetwerk Electronics operates as a contract manufacturer, offering end-to-end Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS). Through its managed marketplace model, Zetwerk collaborates with enterprises to facilitate product manufacturing via a global network of small and medium-sized manufacturers, managing supplier selection, pricing, and order fulfillment.
The company provides manufacturing solutions across multiple sectors including aerospace and defence, renewables, precision manufacturing, oil and gas, infrastructure, and consumer electronics.
