Zscaler has appointed Vamsee Krishna Srirama as Senior Director of Software Engineering, strengthening its leadership bench as the company continues to scale its cloud-native, AI-driven security platform. In his new role, Vamsee will lead advanced engineering initiatives with a strong emphasis on AI-powered security innovation, platform modernisation, and scalable software delivery, supporting Zscaler’s mission to deliver secure, high-performance digital experiences for enterprises worldwide.
The appointment comes at a time when Zscaler is accelerating investments in artificial intelligence and next-generation security architectures to address the growing complexity of enterprise IT environments. Vamsee’s role will focus on driving engineering excellence, building resilient platforms, and enabling faster innovation cycles across the organisation.
Before joining Zscaler, Vamsee held senior leadership positions at Chubb, where he served as Head of Advanced Engineering and Vice President – Digital. In these roles, he was responsible for leading global digital platforms, developing embedded insurance solutions, and spearheading large-scale cloud-native transformations. His work at Chubb involved aligning technology strategy with business outcomes, modernising legacy systems, and enabling new digital capabilities across markets.
Vamsee brings a broad and diverse background shaped by leadership roles across both global technology firms and high-growth engineering organisations. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Capgemini, Cloudbourne, Dell Technologies, and Intelliswift – an LTTS company. Across these roles, he developed deep expertise in cloud platforms, DevOps practices, digital transformation programmes, and large-scale engineering delivery for enterprise clients.
This combination of experience across consulting, product engineering, and enterprise transformation positions him well to contribute to Zscaler’s innovation-led engineering culture. His background in building and scaling cloud-native systems aligns closely with Zscaler’s Zero Trust architecture and its focus on delivering security at scale through the cloud.
At Zscaler, Vamsee is expected to play a key role in advancing platform capabilities, integrating AI across security workflows, and strengthening engineering processes to support rapid growth. His leadership will be instrumental in helping teams deliver highly reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions in an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.
With this appointment, Zscaler reinforces its commitment to investing in experienced technology leaders who can bridge deep engineering expertise with strategic execution, as the company continues to expand its global footprint and push the boundaries of cloud security innovation.
