Amazon has announced a fresh investment of $233 million (approximately ₹1,940 crore) to expand its operations infrastructure in India. The investment will be used to enhance the company’s fulfilment network, develop new tools to boost delivery efficiency, and support employee and partner well-being initiatives.
The company said the move aligns with its broader mission to service every pin code in India more effectively. “This investment will enhance processing capacity, improve fulfilment speed, and increase efficiency across the company’s operations network,” Amazon stated in a blog post on Thursday.
A portion of the funds will be directed toward building infrastructure that supports delivery personnel and partners. This includes establishing rest spots, providing financial literacy and support programs, offering scholarships for associates’ children, and extending healthcare services for truck drivers.
Amazon also plans to roll out new software and tools aimed at improving navigation and safety for delivery partners, streamlining the overall logistics and delivery process.
This development reflects Amazon’s continued commitment to scaling its Indian operations amid intensifying competition in ecommerce and quick commerce sectors.
