Saint-Gobain Ceramics Appoints Senthil Ranjan as Chief Digital & Information Officer

Saint-Gobain Ceramics has announced the appointment of Senthil Rajan as the new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO), effective July 1st. In his new role, Ranjan will lead the digital and information technology strategy for the global ceramics business, driving innovation, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

With a strong track record in digital leadership and IT transformation, Ranjan brings over two decades of experience in implementing enterprise technologies and aligning IT functions with core business goals. His appointment reflects Saint-Gobain’s ongoing commitment to digital innovation and its vision to enhance operational capabilities across its ceramics division.

Before taking on this global leadership role, Senthil Rajan served as AGM – IT at UCAL Fuel Systems Ltd, where he spent more than seven years. At UCAL, he provided executive leadership in strategic IT planning, infrastructure development, and project execution. His tenure was marked by the successful implementation of large-scale IT projects, including full infrastructure setup for new manufacturing units and turning around IT performance to align with business priorities.

Earlier in his career, he was associated with Oracle India as a Senior Solution Specialist, where he worked on enterprise IT solutions and digital transformation projects for leading clients. His technical expertise spans across Industry 4.0, SAP ERP implementation, IT infrastructure management, and ITIL-based service delivery.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Rajan has earned the respect of colleagues and senior leaders across the Saint-Gobain Group. His appointment has been warmly supported by global and regional leadership, including Nicolas Miègeville, David Molho, B Santhanam, P Natarajan, Sreedhar N., Ursula Soritsch-Renier, and others who have played a pivotal role in supporting his journey.

Ranjan credits the support of his mentors and leaders, along with his family, particularly his wife Deepa Senthil Rajan, for their unwavering trust and guidance throughout his career.

As CDIO, Senthil Rajan will focus on strengthening digital capabilities, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving impactful change across Saint-Gobain’s Ceramics operations worldwide. His appointment marks a significant step forward in the company’s digital evolution journey.
