Adobe has introduced Acrobat Studio, a new platform that redefines how users interact with PDFs by combining Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Express, and AI agents into a single, powerful ecosystem. The launch marks a significant step in transforming PDFs from static documents into interactive, intelligent hubs designed to enhance productivity, creativity, and collaboration.
At the heart of Acrobat Studio are AI-powered Assistants that can be customised to act as “instructors,” “analysts,” or even “entertainers.” These virtual assistants are capable of synthesising content, answering user queries, and suggesting new areas for exploration—reshaping the role of PDFs in everyday workflows. Highlighting the vision behind this innovation, Abhigyan Modi, senior vice president at Adobe Document Product Group, said, “We’re reinventing PDF for modern work, so whatever you need to get done, you can do that with Acrobat.”
Another standout feature of Acrobat Studio is PDF Spaces, which allow users to organise and convert collections of PDFs and web resources into AI-driven, interactive experiences. This capability extends beyond simple file storage, enabling collaborative environments for learning, research, and project management.
Acrobat Studio also integrates the creative power of Adobe Express, offering tools and templates enhanced by Firefly’s generative AI. With text-to-video, text-to-image, and advanced design capabilities, users can seamlessly move from scanning and e-signing documents to creating presentations, infographics, and social media content—all within the same ecosystem.
The new offering is positioned not only as a productivity tool but also as a direct challenger to Microsoft and Google’s AI-driven platforms. Unlike its competitors, Acrobat Studio emphasises PDF-first intelligence, leveraging Adobe’s longstanding expertise in the format while adding unmatched creative functionality.
Pricing for Acrobat Studio starts at $24.99 per month. Currently, Adobe is offering PDF Spaces and AI Assistants free of charge until September 1, as part of its global rollout. The platform is initially available in English, with plans for further expansion.
With Acrobat Studio, Adobe aims to revolutionise the way organisations, educators, and creators work with documents, delivering a platform that bridges productivity, intelligence, and creativity in a single, unified experience.
