Healthify has introduced Ria Voice, a real-time, multimodal AI health coach built on OpenAI’s Realtime API—positioning the company among the first worldwide to release a fully audio-native wellness agent capable of understanding speech, visual inputs and emotional tone while responding instantly. Designed to operate primarily through voice, Ria Voice can interpret diverse accents, maintain conversational context and simplify day-to-day health tasks, from meal logging to activity tracking. The launch marks a significant step for the Bengaluru-based platform as it strengthens its standing in the evolving digital health landscape.
For Healthify, Ria Voice represents a culmination of years of work toward more personalised, adaptive coaching. Tushar Vashisht, co-founder and CEO, described the debut as a transformative moment for the company and its mission. He said, “Our mission at Healthify has always been to put a personal coach in your pocket. With Ria Voice, we’re finally able to bring that vision to life at a global scale.” Built on Healthify’s extensive data ecosystem—which spans nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress, glucose patterns and heart rate—the agent delivers individualised guidance intended to feel as natural and intuitive as interacting with a human coach.
OpenAI sees the development as a strong demonstration of what next-generation voice AI can achieve. Pragya Misra, head of strategy and global affairs, India at OpenAI, highlighted how Ria Voice showcases the capabilities unlocked by the Realtime API. She said, “Our Realtime API can transform voice AI from a static interface into a conversational experience. Healthify has used this capability to build a coach that is fast, responsive and capable of the nuance required for personal wellness.” The technology enables rapid back-and-forth interaction, allowing users to converse with the agent as they would with a trained health professional.
Ria Voice’s accessibility is further expanded through its multilingual support and platform integrations. With availability in more than 60 languages and seamless use across the Healthify app, WhatsApp and compatible wearables—including Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses—the AI coach is designed to meet users wherever they are. Its introduction signals a new phase for digital wellness tools, one where real-time audio intelligence, contextual awareness and cross-device presence create a more personalised and approachable health experience for millions.
