Uttam Aggarwal has taken up a new role as Group Chief Information Officer at Napino Auto & Electronics Ltd, according to his LinkedIn announcement. The role is based in Gurugram and began in October 2026.
It is a return to the company. Aggarwal was previously Head of Information Technology at Napino from January 2022 to September 2023. He then moved to Willowood, where he served as Head of Information Technology and CIO of the group companies from September 2023 to September 2026.
During his first stint at Napino, he led the Napino Digital Enterprise programme, a three-year digitalisation roadmap for the group. He set up IT governance for two R&D centres with MES and Siemens PLM implementation, and integrated group-wide marketing automation in Salesforce with SAP. He also drove the Industry 4.0 agenda, starting IoT projects across factories aimed at improving OEE, product quality, material rejection, predictive maintenance, energy costs and labour safety. On the security side, he put in place IT governance, cybersecurity policies and ISO 27001 processes, and worked on bringing IT and OT closer together.
Before Napino, he was Head of IT at Studds Accessories from 2020 to 2022. There he owned the SAP S/4HANA rollout across plants and head office, built an analytics practice from scratch, and led CRM integration with dealers along with mobility, ML and IoT initiatives. Earlier, he was Deputy General Manager IT at Videocon Consumer Durables from 2017 to 2020, with end-to-end responsibility for corporate IT and manufacturing operations.
Napino describes itself as a leader in automotive electronics and IoT, with a group of about ₹2,500 crore, more than 5,000 employees, eight factories and two R&D centres. His return puts a leader who already knows the group’s systems and Industry 4.0 roadmap at the top of its technology function. Details of his mandate in the new role haven’t been shared.
