Anthropic is embedding its frontier AI models directly into the Snowflake AI Data Cloud through a new multi-year partnership valued at $200 million, significantly expanding its reach to more than 12,600 enterprise customers operating across Bedrock, Vertex AI and Azure. By moving Claude closer to where enterprise data already resides, the collaboration aims to accelerate real-world AI adoption and unlock advanced reasoning capabilities at scale. As Dario Amodei noted, this partnership brings Claude directly into Snowflake’s environment and represents “a meaningful step toward making AI genuinely useful for business.”
At the centre of this integration is a suite of enterprise-grade capabilities built to help organisations deploy AI securely, contextually and efficiently. Snowflake Intelligence is now powered by Claude Sonnet 4.5, enabling customers to run richer analytical workflows and derive insights from complex datasets. Multimodal understanding—combining text, images and structured data—is supported through Snowflake Cortex AI, while the newly expanded Cortex Agents framework allows teams to craft custom multi-agent systems aligned with company governance and operational rules. Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy emphasised that the combined capabilities of Snowflake and Claude are elevating how enterprises implement “scalable context aware AI on their most critical data.”
Early adopters are already seeing meaningful impact across data operations, automation and customer intelligence. Companies such as Simon Data and Intercom are using Claude within Snowflake to uncover hidden behavioural patterns, refine segmentation and drive AI agent-based automation for financial workflows. Regulated sectors—including banking, insurance and healthcare—are adopting governed AI agents that achieve more than ninety percent accuracy on text-to-SQL tasks, transforming how analysts query sensitive data without compromising compliance.
Beyond structured analytics, enterprises are exploring advanced applications such as portfolio optimisation, operational forecasting and multi-step decision support. Claude’s deeper integration allows these organisations to shift from small-scale pilots to production-grade deployments, reducing friction between data, models and business teams. The combined ecosystem simplifies the process of bringing context-rich AI reasoning into core workflows—whether for generating insights, building autonomous agents, or powering AI-driven applications.
With this strategic expansion, Anthropic and Snowflake aim to redefine how enterprises operationalise AI, making advanced reasoning accessible directly within the data cloud where mission-critical information lives. The partnership signals a new phase in enterprise AI, where scalability, governance and intelligence come together in a unified stack designed for real business impact.
