
Swaminathan Chandrashekhar has been appointed as Director, HR Business Partner and Head of HR for Cargill’s India Capability Center (ICC) in Bengaluru. In this role, he will lead the people and HR agenda for the centre, working closely with business leaders to strengthen organisational culture, workforce strategy, leadership effectiveness, and talent development. His appointment is aimed at supporting the centre’s growth and transformation while aligning with Cargill’s global priorities.
In his new role, Swaminathan will focus on building a strong employee experience and fostering a performance-driven culture. He will also drive HR initiatives that support organisational change and future readiness, ensuring that the ICC is equipped to deliver on its strategic objectives.
Prior to joining Cargill, Swaminathan spent over five years at Eli Lilly and Company, most recently serving as Director – HR. In his earlier roles at the company, including Associate Director Human Resources and Senior Human Resources Manager, he led HR strategy, employee relations, workforce planning, and change management. Before that, he developed his HR expertise through various roles at Infosys, where he worked across employee relations and HR business partnering. He also served as Manager Human Resources at Citi, supporting shared services and retail partnership cards businesses. Swaminathan began his professional journey with Ma Foi Management Consultants Ltd.
His appointment reinforces Cargill’s people-first approach and strengthens the leadership foundation of its India Capability Center.
