
Rieter has elevated Jayakumar Venkatesan to the role of Global Head – Portfolio Management (Parts and Repair), marking a major milestone in his nearly 31-year career with the global textile machinery company. In his new position, he leads the global portfolio management team for Parts and Repair, working in close coordination with global and regional sales teams to drive business growth, strengthen value creation across the installed base, and align portfolio strategies with changing market requirements.
Based in Winterthur, Zurich, Switzerland, Jayakumar is responsible for shaping and executing portfolio strategies that support Rieter’s global service and repair business. His role focuses on optimising offerings across parts and repair solutions, ensuring responsiveness to customer needs, and supporting long-term lifecycle value for customers worldwide.
Throughout his tenure at Rieter, Jayakumar has held a series of senior global leadership roles across service, repair, product management, and operations. Most recently, he served as Global Head – Product Management and Pricing (Service & Repairs) from April 2025 to December 2025, where he was responsible for defining product strategy and pricing frameworks across service and repair portfolios.
Prior to that, he was Global Head – Product Management (Repair) from March 2020 to March 2025, leading Rieter’s global repair service product management. In this role, he focused on the development of electronic and mechanical test equipment and service concepts, working closely with suppliers and machine partners to expand and modernise repair capabilities.
Across his career at Rieter, spanning nearly three decades, Jayakumar has been instrumental in building world-class repair and service capabilities. His contributions include developing advanced electronic and mechanical repair solutions, strengthening global training networks across more than 25 stations, and driving preventive maintenance and lifecycle management strategies. His deep technical expertise, combined with strong operational leadership and a customer-centric approach, continues to reinforce Rieter’s global service and repair ecosystem as it evolves to meet future demands.
