Enterprise tech startup Nitro Commerce has acquired Gurugram-based AI startup Zodiac Labs AI in a strategic move aimed at expanding its capabilities in the quick commerce analytics space. The acquisition comes shortly after Nitro Commerce secured fresh funding to scale its operations and product offerings.
The deal amount has not been disclosed. According to Nitro Commerce founder Umair Mohammed, the acquisition aligns with the company’s plan to develop solutions specifically designed for brands operating in quick commerce ecosystems.
Founded by Nikhil Garg, Zodiac Labs AI provides AI-powered analytics tools that help brands track and optimise their performance across quick commerce platforms. Its solutions include real-time dashboards to monitor SKUs, a smart purchase order engine that suggests procurement decisions, and tools that help businesses allocate their budgets across different quick commerce channels.
The platform currently works with major quick commerce services such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart, helping brands analyse sales trends and optimise their presence across these high-speed delivery platforms.
Nitro Commerce, founded in 2023, offers AI-driven marketing and customer engagement solutions primarily focused on direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands. Its technology stack enables companies to track campaign performance, manage customer data, and drive revenue growth using AI-enabled tools.
With the acquisition of Zodiac Labs, Nitro Commerce aims to extend its reach beyond the D2C channel and support brands across ecommerce, retail, and quick commerce environments. The integration will also enable the company to introduce more advanced “agentic AI” capabilities that not only provide analytics but actively recommend actions such as adjusting ad spending or resolving purchase order bottlenecks in real time.
Zodiac Labs founder Nikhil Garg has joined Nitro Commerce as part of the acquisition. He said the partnership will allow the startup’s AI models to evolve from simply providing insights to actively helping marketers make faster operational decisions.
Nitro Commerce currently serves a network of more than 2,500 brands, including Rare Rabbit, Dot & Key, Pepperfry, ClayCo, Kapiva, Blue Tokai, VIP Industries, and Perfora, which use its AI-powered tools to optimise digital marketing and customer acquisition strategies.
The acquisition also reflects the broader surge in quick commerce adoption in India. As more brands expand into 15-to-30-minute delivery platforms, there is rising demand for analytics tools that help businesses manage inventory, pricing, and marketing performance across these channels.
