HCLTech has promoted Subranil Dutta to the role of Director, marking a significant milestone in his journey with the organization that spans more than seven years.
In his new position, based in the Philippines, he operates at the Director level with a focus on digital strategy and broader leadership responsibilities. His elevation reflects a consistent track record of driving operational excellence, scaling delivery capabilities, and aligning business functions with strategic objectives across geographies.
Before stepping into this role, Dutta served as Associate Director, where he was responsible for leading the China and Malaysia Delivery Center alongside Global Shared Services. During this period, he played a central role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, including the development of roadmaps for shared services aligned with organizational goals. His work focused on strengthening stakeholder collaboration, streamlining processes, and integrating technology to improve efficiency and service delivery outcomes.
Earlier, he held the position of General Manager for Shanghai and Malaysia Infrastructure Business and Operations. In this capacity, he oversaw large-scale service operations, ensuring effective business processes and maintaining quality standards while managing vendor ecosystems and continuity frameworks.
Prior to that, as Deputy General Manager for Shanghai Infrastructure Business and Operations, he led multiple service management teams. His responsibilities included defining long-term goals, delegating operational priorities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through robust IT infrastructure management practices.
Dutta’s earlier tenure within the organization also includes roles as Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager at HCL Technologies (Shanghai) Ltd., where he was involved in managing global delivery operations and executing complex projects across regions.
He began his professional career at Accenture as a Senior Analyst, building a strong foundation in service delivery and operational management that would later support his leadership roles in global IT services.
Across his career, Dutta has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, process improvement, P&L management, quality management, and customer-centric service delivery. His progression through leadership roles highlights his ability to manage diverse teams, optimize operations, and deliver sustained business value in dynamic international environments.
His appointment as Director underscores HCLTech’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership bench to support global delivery transformation and innovation-led growth.
