
Vikas Gupta has been elevated to the role of Chief Financial Officer at WestBridge Capital, where he will oversee the firm’s financial strategy, governance framework, and operational efficiency as it continues to scale its investment platform. His promotion reflects the organization’s strong confidence in his long-standing contributions and deep understanding of financial operations within the private equity landscape.
Gupta has been associated with WestBridge Capital for more than 11 years, during which he has played a critical role in strengthening the firm’s finance function. Prior to his elevation, he served as Senior Vice President – Finance, where he was instrumental in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the firm’s growth initiatives across its investment portfolio.
Before joining WestBridge, he worked with Jacob Ballas Capital India Private Limited, where he was responsible for overseeing fund accounting and administration for private equity funds. In this role, he managed regulatory requirements related to foreign investments in India, gaining extensive experience in fund operations and compliance.
Earlier in his career, Gupta held positions at Deloitte as an Assistant Manager and at S.P. Chopra & Co. as an Audit Executive. These roles helped him build a strong foundation in auditing, financial reporting, and regulatory practices.
With significant experience spanning fund management, financial reporting, and compliance, Vikas Gupta brings a well-rounded perspective to his new role. As CFO, he is expected to further strengthen financial governance and support WestBridge Capital’s continued expansion in the private equity space.
