A. Shiju Rawther has been appointed as Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) at CareEdge Group. In this role, he will lead the organization’s technology strategy, focusing on digital transformation, platform innovation, and the integration of advanced analytics to drive business value and long-term growth.
The appointment, disclosed through regulatory filings, marks a strategic step for CareEdge as it continues to strengthen its technology-led capabilities within the financial services and ratings ecosystem.
Prior to joining CareEdge, Dr. Rawther served as Head of Information Technology at SBI Mutual Fund, where he led enterprise IT initiatives and digital transformation programs. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles across several prominent organizations, including Poonawalla Fincorp, IIFL Finance Limited, TransUnion CIBIL Limited, PCS Technology Limited, APM Terminals, Wipro, and Primus Telecommunications India Limited.
Recognized for his strong business acumen and technical expertise, he has played a key role in building and scaling enterprise technology ecosystems, including applications, infrastructure, information security frameworks, and process automation solutions. Notably, he has developed end-to-end technology platforms from the ground up for multinational startups operating in India.
Dr. Rawther is widely regarded as a distinguished technology leader in the Indian capital markets space. He has been featured among top industry CXOs and recognized for innovation in IT leadership. In addition to his corporate contributions, he is actively involved in mentoring students and engaging with academic institutions as part of CSR initiatives.
His academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangalore University, a management degree in Information Technology from Mumbai University, and a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from Hindustan University, with research focused on cybersecurity and network protection models. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws and Cyber Forensics from the National Law School of India University.
With multiple research publications in internationally indexed journals and three patents registered with the Indian Patent Office, Dr. Rawther brings a strong blend of academic rigor and industry experience.
