
J&K Bank Ltd. has promoted Muneer H. KongaWani to the position of Deputy General Manager (DGM) & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), reinforcing its leadership in cybersecurity, governance, and risk management.
In his expanded role, KongaWani will lead the bank’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) initiatives, focusing on enforcing policies to safeguard information assets and strengthen enterprise-wide cybersecurity. He will play a crucial role in enhancing risk governance frameworks and ensuring regulatory compliance, aligning the bank’s security infrastructure with evolving digital threats.
KongaWani brings over two decades of experience in IT governance, enterprise networks, and cybersecurity. Prior to this promotion, he served as AGM & CISO (2018–2026) at J&K Bank, where he was instrumental in driving GRC strategies and information security policies. Earlier, as Senior IT Executive – Enterprise Networks, he led network security operations for over 12 years, overseeing planning, design, and implementation of large-scale IT infrastructure. His contributions include co-authoring the bank’s Information Security Policy, leading disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and architecting secure network frameworks across the organization.
Before joining J&K Bank, KongaWani worked as an IT Consultant at Networkers MiddleEast FZ LLC, handling end-to-end project lifecycle activities including planning, implementation, and support. He began his career with HCL InfoSystems Ltd. as a Support Engineer, where he gained foundational experience in IT infrastructure and technical support.
