“Data Must Work for Everyone”, Roy Aniruddha, Founder, TechnoStruct Advocates for Open, Interoperable Digital Infrastructure at DBI Pune 2026

Pune – The Digital Built India (DBI) Regional Extension – Pune concluded at NICMAR University with a full-day confluence of infrastructure, mobility, and technology leaders converging under the theme Maharashtra 2030: Infrastructure Led Economic Transformation. Among the key voices at the event was Roy Aniruddha, Founder of TechnoStruct Group, who was among a select group of industry leaders invited to participate in The Great Roundtable, Shaping Maharashtra’s Open, Inclusive & Future-Ready Digital Information Management Policy, the capstone technical session of the day.

Organised by CDCPIndia and buildingSMART India, with NICMAR University Pune as co-organiser, the event brought together policymakers, infrastructure practitioners, digital technology leaders, and academia to deliberate on the digital roadmap powering India’s fastest-growing state economy.

“One of the key takeaways from the event was the industry’s collective focus on interoperability, information management, and digital maturity. These are areas that closely align with TechnoStruct’s approach, where BIM serves not only as a design and coordination tool but as a foundation for efficient collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.” said, Nandini Gupta, BIM Team Lead.

Roy’s participation brought practitioner depth to the policy conversation, drawing from TechnoStruct Group’s extensive cross-geography experience in Open BIM implementation across infrastructure projects in India, the US, and the Middle East.

Speaking at the event, Roy Aniruddha, Founder of TechnoStruct Group, said, “Digital information is fast becoming one of the most valuable assets in infrastructure delivery. But that value is only realised when the data is open, interoperable, and governed by standards that every stakeholder, from the largest contractor to the smallest consultant, can actually work with. As Maharashtra advances its vision of becoming a US$1 trillion economy, digital information management across the entire lifecycle of infrastructure assets, from planning and design through construction, operations, and maintenance, must be treated as a strategic priority, not an afterthought.”

The Roundtable was an invitation-only industry dialogue, structured around five critical discussion themes: the role of Digital Information Management in Maharashtra’s infrastructure transformation; information governance across the infrastructure asset lifecycle; open standards, interoperability and collaborative digital ecosystems; opportunities and challenges in industry-wide adoption; and future directions for digital transformation within Maharashtra’s built environment sector. The insights and recommendations emerging from the session are expected to be consolidated by CDCPIndia into a whitepaper intended to inform broader industry dialogue on digital transformation across Maharashtra’s infrastructure and built environment sectors.

As India’s infrastructure ambitions continue to grow, the industry must move beyond isolated digital tools toward standardised and collaborative workflows. Events like this create an important platform for knowledge exchange, and at TechnoStruct, we are committed to supporting this transformation through BIM-driven project delivery and multidisciplinary coordination.
