Gurugram, AI-powered holiday planning and booking platform 30 Sundays has raised ₹61 crore, approximately $6.7 million, in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
Existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures also participated and increased their stakes in the Gurugram-based startup. The latest round takes the company’s total funding to approximately $7.5 million.
30 Sundays plans to use the capital to enhance its product offerings, strengthen its technology and AI teams, expand its workforce and invest in brand building and marketing. The company will also use the funding to enter new international destinations and serve additional customer segments.
The startup recently launched services covering New Zealand and Mauritius and is preparing to expand its holiday offerings to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Philippines. It currently generates most of its business across Bali, Vietnam, the Maldives and Thailand.
Founded by Kshitij Chaudhary and Anuj Punjani, 30 Sundays positions itself as an AI-native, full-stack travel platform that manages the customer journey across holiday discovery, itinerary planning, booking and on-trip assistance. Chaudhary serves as co-founder and chief executive, while Punjani is the company’s co-founder and chief technology officer.
Its platform provides video-based itineraries that customers can modify through a conversational interface. During a trip, users can access video guides, restaurant and shopping recommendations and AI-powered chat assistance through an in-app concierge.
“Planning a holiday has too long meant static PDFs, endless follow-ups, and mark-ups you discover only later,” Chaudhary said.
The startup uses AI across lead qualification, itinerary creation, customer follow-ups and reservations while retaining human support for parts of the booking and travel process. The company claims this approach has made its sales team twice as productive as competing platforms and three times as productive as traditional travel agents. These performance figures have not been independently verified.
30 Sundays also reported an annualised gross booking value run rate of approximately ₹200 crore from its four principal destinations. The company said it had achieved this scale profitably within two years of commencing operations.
The platform initially focuses on international holidays for couples and plans to expand into adjacent segments, including families travelling with children.
30 Sundays is a Gurugram-headquartered travel-technology startup established in 2024. It combines AI-led travel discovery and itinerary development with booking services and human-assisted customer support for Indian travellers planning overseas holidays.
