Mumbai, Remsons Industries Limited has appointed Rahul Prabhakar Desai as its Chief Executive Officer, effective August 3, 2026, as the automotive-component manufacturer undertakes a leadership transition.
The company’s Board of Directors approved Desai’s appointment at its meeting held on July 27, following a recommendation by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Desai will succeed Amit Srivastava, who previously submitted his resignation from the position of Group Chief Executive Officer to pursue other professional opportunities. Srivastava’s resignation will become effective at the close of business on September 4, providing an overlap period for the leadership transition and operational handover.
Desai brings more than 30 years of experience in the automotive-manufacturing sector, including over 17 years in senior leadership positions. His expertise covers business strategy, profit-and-loss management, plant operations, lean manufacturing, greenfield projects, technology transfers and relationships with automotive original-equipment manufacturers.
Before joining Remsons Industries, Desai served as Chief Executive Officer at Pinnacle Industries, where he headed the company’s Auto Components, Seating and Interiors division. His responsibilities included overseeing manufacturing plants and supporting functions, improving operational efficiency and integrating next-generation technologies across the business.
Desai previously held leadership positions at CIE Automotive India, including responsibility for its stampings, magnets and composites operations. His professional experience also includes roles at GKN Sinter Metals and Inteva Products India Automotive.
His background spans operational excellence, business transformation, financial strategy, product innovation and strategic planning. This experience is expected to support Remsons Industries as it manages manufacturing operations and relationships with domestic and international automotive customers.
The appointment constitutes a change in the company’s key managerial personnel and was disclosed under the applicable requirements of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s listing regulations.
Founded in 1959, Remsons Industries manufactures automotive components including control cables, gear-shift systems, flexible shafts, push-pull cables, parking-brake mechanisms and related assemblies. The company serves vehicle manufacturers and aftermarket customers in India and exports to the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, Brazil, Mexico and other South Asian markets.
