Equirus has appointed Hiren Raipancholia as Executive Director, bringing extensive experience across capital markets and investment banking to the financial services firm.
Raipancholia joins Equirus with a professional background spanning equity capital markets, capital raising and investment banking. Before taking up his new role, he served as Director – Capital Markets at JM Financial Ltd, where he gained further experience in capital markets and transaction execution.
Prior to JM Financial, Raipancholia was associated with IDFC FIRST Bank, where he served as Associate Director and was part of the Equity Capital Markets – Syndication team. His experience in the function included working within the equity capital markets business and supporting capital-market activities.
Earlier, Raipancholia held the positions of Associate Vice President and Associate at IDFC Capital Limited, where he was part of the Equity Capital Markets team. These roles added to his experience in capital markets and investment banking and contributed to his understanding of equity-market transactions.
He began his professional career in Investment Banking at Standard Chartered Capital Markets and later worked as an Investment Consultant at Citi. His career progression across Standard Chartered, Citi, IDFC Capital, IDFC FIRST Bank and JM Financial has provided him with experience across different areas of investment banking and capital markets.
At Equirus, Raipancholia takes on the role of Executive Director, adding his capital-markets and investment-banking experience to the company’s leadership team. His background in equity capital markets and syndication provides relevant experience for his new mandate.
The appointment marks another step in Raipancholia’s career across India’s financial services sector, following senior roles at JM Financial and IDFC FIRST Bank and earlier positions at IDFC Capital, Standard Chartered Capital Markets and Citi.
