Sahil Jindal Appointed Chairperson of Indian Venture Studio Association

Sahil Jindal has started a new position as Chairperson of the Indian Venture Studio Association (IVSA), taking on a leadership role within the organisation as India’s venture studio ecosystem continues to develop.

Jindal announced his new position through LinkedIn, where he shared that he had started as Chairperson at IVSA. His appointment adds to his existing entrepreneurial and investment activities, bringing his experience in business building, venture creation and startup investing to the association.

Jindal is the Managing Director of DS Jindal Group, a more than 70-year-old industrial conglomerate with interests in steel and piping. He is also the founder of Trevel, an electric mobility venture. IVSA’s official website identifies him as a 4th-generation entrepreneur, former President of EO Noida and an advocate of patient capital and institutional venture creation.

His work in the venture-building ecosystem has become a growing area of focus in recent months. In a LinkedIn post, Jindal outlined his belief that venture studios could play a larger role in India’s startup ecosystem by bringing together founders, operators, investors, networks and resources to build companies collaboratively. He has also called for greater structure, shared frameworks and stronger connections among venture studio builders in India.

The Indian Venture Studio Association is focused on developing and strengthening the venture studio and venture-building ecosystem in India. According to its official website, the association aims to unify venture studios, establish industry standards, advance research and promote responsible company creation. Its board brings together entrepreneurs, venture studio operators and ecosystem leaders.

Jindal is among the founding members of IVSA’s board. The association currently lists him as Board Member & Founding Director, alongside Srinivas Kollipara and Tushar Gandotra. His profile on the association’s website highlights his focus on DS Jindal Group, EV and mobility ventures, patient capital and institutional venture creation.

Beyond his industrial-business responsibilities, Jindal has been active as an entrepreneur, angel investor and mentor. His professional profile identifies him as Managing Director at Jindal Group, founder of Trevel and an investor and mentor supporting emerging businesses and entrepreneurs.

In his new role as Chairperson, Jindal is expected to contribute to IVSA’s efforts to create greater visibility and structure around the venture studio model in India. His recent public commentary has emphasised the need for venture studios, operators and investors to collaborate more closely and develop a stronger ecosystem for company building.

Jindal’s appointment comes as the venture studio model gains increasing attention as an alternative approach to startup creation, with studios working alongside founders on areas such as validation, product development, operating strategy, networks and access to resources. His experience as an entrepreneur, business leader and investor positions him to contribute to IVSA’s efforts to advance this model in the Indian startup ecosystem.
