Voice AI startup Navana.ai has raised ₹40 crore ($4.2 million) in a Series A funding round led by existing investor and upGrad cofounder Ronnie Screwvala. The round also saw participation from Antler India, Neysa.ai founder Sharad Sanghi and WestBridge Capital’s managing partner Sandeep Singhal, among other investors.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Navana.ai’s voice AI platform across the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector. The company also plans to strengthen its speech models for Indian languages and dialects and accelerate the development of its AI Contact Centre and automated evaluation platform.
Founded in 2018 by brothers Raoul and Jai Nanavati, Navana.ai is developing what it describes as a sovereign, full-stack voice AI platform for enterprises. Its technology enables businesses to deploy voice agents, transcription systems and real-time analytics at scale.
The startup has developed proprietary speech models capable of operating across 12 Indian languages and 45 dialects. The company is focusing on voice-based artificial intelligence for enterprise applications, with the BFSI sector forming a key area of deployment.
According to Navana.ai, its platform has processed more than 100 million voice AI minutes for clients in the BFSI sector. Its clients include Bajaj Finserv, Protean, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank and Grihum Housing Finance.
The company’s technology stack is being developed to support enterprise use cases involving voice interactions, transcription and analytics. With the latest funding, Navana.ai plans to increase the deployment of its platform within the BFSI sector while continuing to develop its speech technology for India’s multilingual environment.
Screwvala said the investment comes as enterprises increasingly look at voice AI for reaching users beyond English-speaking and digitally literate segments. He said, “Navana.ai addresses exactly this, proving to be a reliable voice AI partner for India’s enterprises.”
The funding comes amid growing activity in India’s voice AI startup ecosystem. Indian startups are increasingly developing voice-based AI systems aimed at making digital services accessible across different languages and user groups. The sector has also seen recent funding activity involving other voice AI companies.
Navana.ai’s latest round follows its earlier funding activity. In July 2025, the startup raised ₹7 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Antler India, with participation from Ajay Agarwal, Ronnie Screwvala and Sandeep Singhal. That round had taken the company’s total funding to ₹13.2 crore at the time.
The company’s latest ₹40 crore Series A investment represents a significant increase in the capital available to expand its platform. The funds will support the company’s plans across BFSI deployments, Indian-language and dialect speech models, its AI Contact Centre and its automated evaluation platform.
With the new funding, Navana.ai will continue building its enterprise-focused voice AI platform while expanding its capabilities across India’s multilingual speech landscape. Its focus remains on deploying voice AI at scale, particularly across the BFSI sector, alongside the development of its speech models and AI-based contact centre technologies.
