Jatinder Bansal has joined ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP) as Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), taking on a global technology leadership role as the pan-African industrial ecosystem developer continues to expand its operations across the continent.
Bansal announced the move on LinkedIn, describing the appointment as a new journey focused on shaping ARISE IIP’s technology and digital direction. In his new role, he will work with teams across the business to support the organisation’s technology and digital journey globally.
ARISE IIP develops, finances, conceives and operates integrated industrial ecosystems across Africa. According to the company, its work focuses on identifying industrial gaps in African countries and developing tailored solutions that support the local and sustainable transformation of raw materials, exports and trade. Its industrial ecosystems also incorporate integrated logistics services.
Bansal said his new role would involve working with teams across the business as the organisation advances its technology and digital agenda. His LinkedIn profile describes his current responsibilities at ARISE IIP as covering the enterprise technology agenda, including Enterprise Applications, SAP, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data and Analytics.
The appointment comes as technology becomes increasingly important to organisations operating across complex industrial, manufacturing and logistics environments. At ARISE IIP, these operations span multiple sectors and geographies, creating a broad technology landscape for enterprise systems, digital platforms, data and cybersecurity.
ARISE IIP currently operates industrial ecosystems in countries including Gabon, Benin, Togo, Rwanda and Chad, while additional ecosystems are under development across Africa. The company’s industrial platforms include the Gabon Special Economic Zone (GSEZ), the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) in Benin and the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA) in Togo.
The company’s operations cover a wide range of industries, including agro-processing, textiles, wood processing, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, metals, renewable energy, logistics, electric vehicle assembly and mining. ARISE IIP says its industrial ecosystems are designed to support local value creation while strengthening manufacturing and trade capabilities.
ARISE IIP has also been expanding its industrial footprint through new projects and partnerships. Its recent developments include industrial projects in several African markets, while its official website lists multiple locations under development alongside its existing operational ecosystems.
Bansal’s move therefore places him at the centre of the organisation’s enterprise technology and digital agenda as ARISE IIP manages a geographically distributed business spanning industrial infrastructure, logistics and manufacturing. His focus will include working with teams across the business to shape technology capabilities supporting the organisation’s broader digital journey.
