
Tirupati Group has appointed Uday K. Potdar as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Based in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, the pharmaceutical group said Potdar brings more than 20 years of strategic finance leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise across financial planning and analysis, corporate strategy, costing and IPO execution.
Potdar joins Tirupati Group after a long association with Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, where he held several senior finance positions. His roles at Emcure included Director, Associate Director – Finance & Costing, General Manager – Finance & Costing, and Deputy General Manager – Finance. His experience at the company covered financial management and costing functions within the pharmaceutical sector.
Most recently, Potdar served as Director at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, a position he took up in April 2024. Before becoming Director, he served as Associate Director – Finance & Costing from April 2021, following nearly a decade as General Manager – Finance & Costing. His progression through these roles reflects more than two decades of experience in finance leadership within the pharmaceutical industry.
Earlier in his career, Potdar was associated with Lupin Limited, adding experience from another major pharmaceutical organisation to his professional background. Across his career, he has developed expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate strategy, costing and IPO execution, alongside broader financial management responsibilities.
As CFO, Potdar will bring this experience in strategic finance and financial management to Tirupati Group. His appointment comes as the company continues to operate across multiple healthcare-related segments, including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, Ayurveda and sports nutrition.
Tirupati Group began its operations in 2005 with a focus on making healthcare accessible and affordable. The company has research and development and manufacturing capabilities and operates from facilities in Himachal Pradesh, India. According to the company, it serves 145 clients across 11 countries and maintains operations in accordance with GLP standards.
The Group also operates across specialised areas of healthcare and nutrition, with its portfolio spanning pharmaceutical products, nutraceuticals, Ayurveda and sports nutrition. Its business model combines research and development with manufacturing capabilities to serve customers across these segments.
With Potdar taking charge of the finance function, Tirupati Group adds an experienced pharmaceutical finance professional to its senior leadership team. His background across finance strategy, costing, financial planning and IPO execution will form part of his experience as he takes on the CFO role at the company.
