Shweta Govil Singh has been appointed Chief Human Resource Officer at Shriram Farm Solutions, where she will lead the company’s people and capability agenda as the organisation continues its growth journey.
In her new role, Singh will focus on strengthening leadership, talent development and organisational effectiveness. Her mandate will also cover areas including people strategy, culture transformation and organisational change, supporting the company’s efforts to build a future-ready organisation.
Shriram Farm Solutions said Singh brings more than two decades of experience across consulting, global capability centres and financial services. Her professional background covers human resources, talent management, professional development, recruitment, HR business partnering and organisational development.
Before joining Shriram Farm Solutions, Singh was associated with McKinsey & Company, where she held several roles across professional development, talent and recruiting. Her positions included Professional Development Lead – Banking & Insurance Practices, Global Professional Development & Talent Business Partner – Banking, and Head – Indian Recruiting & Human Resources Specialist.
Her work at McKinsey involved people and talent initiatives supporting banking and insurance practices, as well as professional development and organisational capability. Her recent professional activity also reflects her involvement in talent, capability building and workforce-related initiatives within the consulting firm.
Earlier in her career, Singh served as Senior Manager – Human Resources at FieldFresh Foods Private Limited. She also held the position of Regional Manager – HR at Cholamandalam DBS Finance Limited, where her experience added a financial-services perspective to her HR career.
Her earlier assignments included roles at Onicra Credit Rating Agency of India Limited, where she worked as Assistant Manager and Manager – Corporate HRD. She also worked with Aviva as Manager – Bancassurance and began her professional career as a Management Trainee – Human Resources at Tata Finance Private Limited.
Across these roles, Singh has built experience covering recruitment, employee development, HR business partnering, talent management and organisational development. Her career has also included work across banking, insurance, finance, consulting and business services.
At Shriram Farm Solutions, her responsibilities will extend across the company’s people and capability priorities. The organisation said she will focus on leadership, talent and organisational effectiveness as it works toward building a future-ready workforce.
Shriram Farm Solutions is part of the Shriram Group’s agricultural business and operates in the seeds, crop protection and agricultural solutions segments. The company says it has been serving the Indian farming community since 1969 and has been expanding its portfolio through improved genetics, crop protection chemistries, yield enhancement solutions and research and development.
The company is also working on strengthening its capabilities in agricultural innovation and technology. Its recent initiatives include partnerships with research institutions and the introduction of new crop protection products for Indian farmers.
Singh’s appointment adds a dedicated HR leadership role to the company’s growth plans, with her responsibilities centred on people strategy, leadership development, talent and organisational effectiveness.
With more than two decades of experience across consulting, financial services and business organisations, Shweta Govil Singh will now lead the human resources function at Shriram Farm Solutions as Chief Human Resource Officer.
