AI Infrastructure Firm Accelevation, Shareholders Raise $540 Million in US IPO

AI infrastructure company Accelevation and its selling shareholders have raised $540 million through a US initial public offering, according to the company. The private equity-backed data centre infrastructure firm sold 30 million shares at $18 apiece, below the previously marketed price range of $20 to $24 per share.

Accelevation itself sold 10 million shares in the IPO, while certain selling shareholders affiliated with private equity firm Olympus Partners sold 20 million shares. The offering comes as the US IPO market faces more challenging conditions, with rising bond yields, a tightening interest-rate environment and increased volatility affecting investor risk appetite.

The Miamisburg, Ohio-based company proceeded with the listing despite the difficult market environment. The broader fall IPO season has started amid volatility, with several companies delaying their planned listings as issuers and investors face greater difficulty agreeing on valuations.

Accelevation’s listing is being closely watched because of its exposure to the AI infrastructure market. The company provides infrastructure products and services for the data centre industry, placing its business within a sector that has attracted significant investor interest as demand for computing infrastructure has increased.

Matt Kennedy, a senior strategist at Renaissance Capital, described AI infrastructure as the dominant theme of the 2026 IPO market, while also pointing to the deterioration in market conditions.

“AI infrastructure is the dominant theme of the 2026 IPO market, but there’s no question that market conditions have worsened,” Kennedy said.

He added: “Not long ago, IPO investors would line up for almost any AI infrastructure play. That’s no longer the case. New AI stocks aren’t a ‘sure thing’ like they were in the early summer. We saw some cracks in the story with Holtec Nuclear’s postponement.”

Founded by Michael and Shawn Rubiera in 2017 as a small manufacturing company, Accelevation has expanded significantly in recent years. Its revenue reached $447.8 million in 2025, compared with less than $3 million in 2021.

The company operates in the data centre infrastructure market, providing products and services for the sector. Private equity firm Olympus Partners acquired Accelevation from buyout firm LFM Capital last year.

The IPO also represents a change from the company’s earlier offering plans. On September 22, 2026, Accelevation had announced a proposed offering of 30 million shares, with an expected price range of $20 to $24 per share. At that range, the company had been targeting proceeds of up to $720 million.

The final offering price of $18 per share was therefore below the earlier range. At the final price, the 30 million shares generated $540 million in gross proceeds for Accelevation and the selling shareholders.

Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan acted as joint lead bookrunning managers for the IPO. Accelevation is scheduled to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “ACCV” on September 30.

The listing comes at a time when companies linked to AI infrastructure are receiving greater attention from public-market investors, while changing financial-market conditions are also influencing the timing and pricing of new offerings. Accelevation’s IPO provides another data point for the market as investors assess companies operating in the data centre and AI infrastructure ecosystem.
