Qashier Launches AI General Manager for Singapore Merchants

Singapore fintech company Qashier has launched QashierGM, an artificial intelligence assistant embedded in its merchant operating platform, alongside a team-communication product called Crew. The tools are available to Qashier merchants in Singapore, with launches in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines planned for November.

QashierGM operates within QashierHQ, the web and mobile application used by merchants to manage sales, products, staff and settlements. Business owners can ask questions about outlet performance, sales trends, refunds, products and payment disbursements using natural language.

The assistant works directly with each merchant’s transaction and settlement data. It can explain differences between recorded sales and bank payouts, identify an underperforming outlet, examine product-level performance or recommend a promotion based on historical purchases. It can also execute approved operational changes, such as marking a menu item as unavailable.

Actions require permission appropriate to the employee making the request. Larger changes can be sent to a manager for approval, while QashierGM displays the proposed action before it is implemented.

Crew provides direct messages, departmental groups and company announcements within the Qashier platform, separating workplace discussions from employees’ personal messaging accounts. Staff can tag the AI assistant inside a conversation to check operating figures, update a menu or issue an invoice. Qashier says the assistant only accesses conversations in which it has been specifically tagged.

The system supports major regional languages, including English, Mandarin, Malay and Thai. Connectors for services such as Gmail and Google Business Profile are scheduled for November, extending the assistant to supplier communications, customer enquiries and online reviews.

Qashier processes more than $1 billion in annualised payment volume for over 25,000 merchants across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. The company has been profitable since December 2025 and raised $6.125 million in Series A-plus financing in June 2026.

QashierGM is being provided to existing Singapore merchants without an additional charge, while Crew is included in selected Qashier and enterprise plans.
