Krisumi Corporation has elevated Tomy Thomas as its Chief Human Resources Officer, recognising a leader who has shaped the company’s people agenda for close to a decade. Based in Gurugram, he steps into the role in October 2026, bringing more than three decades of experience across hospitality and real estate.
Tomy Thomas began his career in 1995 as an Assistant Manager at Neel International. In 1999 he moved to Grand Hyatt Delhi as Assistant Personnel Manager, where he spent six years in one of the country’s most service-driven environments. Hospitality teaches HR professionals a lasting lesson: people are the product, and every guest experience depends on how well a team is trained, motivated and cared for.
Real estate followed. In 2005 he joined MGF Developments Ltd. as Assistant General Manager – HR, and in 2007 he continued with Emaar MGF as General Manager – HR, a role he held until 2016. Those years placed him inside one of India’s most prominent real estate organisations during a period of rapid growth, where building teams at scale mattered as much as building towers.
In February 2016, Tomy Thomas joined Krisumi Corporation as Vice President – Human Resources. He later grew into the role of President – Human Resources, leading the function from Gurugram. Over his years with the organisation, he has been part of its growth from within, understanding its culture, its people and its ambitions firsthand.
Promotion to the CXO level is often a recognition of trust, and that holds true here. A CHRO sits at the table where strategy is decided and brings the human side of every business decision into the room. For a real estate company, where project delivery, customer experience and brand reputation all depend on skilled and motivated teams, that voice carries real weight. Tomy Thomas’s journey from hospitality floors to the leadership team shows an understanding of people at every level of an organisation.
As Chief Human Resources Officer, he is positioned to carry Krisumi’s people philosophy into its next chapter, from talent and culture to leadership development and workplace experience. Colleagues, industry peers and the wider HR community will be watching this next phase with interest.
Congratulations, Tomy Thomas, on this well-deserved milestone and best wishes for the road ahead.
