SimSon Pharma Limited has appointed Saidulu Chilka as its Chief Information Officer, a role he took up in October 2026 from the company’s Mumbai base. In an industry where every document, batch and audit trail has to stand up to regulatory scrutiny, he brings more than two decades of experience in building the digital systems that keep quality and compliance running smoothly.
Saidulu’s career began in 2004 as a Java programmer at the Institute of Electronic Governance in Hyderabad. He went on to build his foundation in enterprise software at Zensar, Accenture and Infosys, working on client projects that included retail and online banking applications. At Accenture, he spent three years as a Senior Software Engineer, and at Infosys he worked as a Documentum developer, creating content templates and supporting users in publishing content. It was here that he first worked on content and document management, a thread that would shape much of his career.
At Tata Consultancy Services, where he spent over six years, that focus deepened. He provided L3 support for global service units across four hubs in Singapore, Mexico, the US and Barcelona, supporting cross-border account openings and maintenance. He was also part of the production support team for a Documentum-based tool managing business-critical documents and records. His work included improving document retrieval and delivery to meet government regulations, setting up electronic backups, configuring access controls so only authorised users could reach sensitive documents, and designing folder structures and access rights. He also streamlined how documents move through their full lifecycle, from creation and review to approval, storage, archiving and destruction.
In 2017, Saidulu moved into life sciences as Deputy General Manager of Digital Transformation at Zydus Cadila, heading quality solutions. He led the rollout of ZyDMS, a document management system, across all Zydus sites, and introduced Life Sciences and Quality Management using D2 to strengthen document control. He also oversaw the incident management system and worked closely with product vendors to resolve complex issues.
He then joined Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in Hyderabad, where he spent over five years, rising from Associate Director to Principal Product Manager and Digital Transformation Head for Quality and Manufacturing. He led the development and management of DocHub, an enterprise quality management and document management platform built to support GMP-critical processes. His responsibilities spanned product lifecycles and enhancements, incident management, audit management, Documentum server management, vendor coordination and support for digital products across multiple sites. In his later work, he led AI product management for quality and manufacturing, covering GMP documents such as SOPs, specifications, master validation records, manufacturing masters, quality reports and executed documents. Most recently, he served as Digital Transformation Head for Manufacturing and Quality at Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services Limited.
What stands out in Saidulu’s journey is how consistently he has worked where technology meets regulation. From banking compliance at TCS to GMP-regulated pharma quality systems, he has focused on making critical information accurate, accessible, secure and audit-ready. His hands-on experience in AI, product management and enterprise platforms gives him a practical view of how to modernise operations without compromising compliance.
At SimSon Pharma, he will lead IT strategy and IT operations management. As the company grows, his experience in digital transformation, quality systems and AI-led innovation should help build a strong and scalable technology foundation.
We congratulate Saidulu Chilka on his appointment as Chief Information Officer of SimSon Pharma Limited and wish him a rewarding journey ahead.
