TechnoSport has appointed Aditya Gadiyar as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective immediately, as the activewear brand enters its next phase of growth. In his new role, Gadiyar will lead the company’s overall marketing, brand and customer growth strategy.
Gadiyar brings more than 18 years of experience across brand building, consumer marketing, business transformation, P&L management, retail and growth. His career has included leadership assignments across consumer, retail, education, fashion and outdoor lifestyle businesses.
Before joining TechnoSport, Gadiyar served as Head of Marketing at Wildcraft, where he played a key role in repositioning the brand from a functional outdoor-gear proposition to a lifestyle brand centred around “readiness.” He also worked on building Wildcraft’s house-of-brands architecture and scaling its direct-to-consumer business.
Gadiyar began his career at Titan Company, where he took ownership of the P&L for Titan Eyeplus’ house-brand frames and led the launch of Fastrack Frames. He later moved into Titan’s jewellery business, Tanishq, where he led marketing for Mia, Solitaires and consumer offers, including work around repositioning Mia for the contemporary woman.
His professional journey also includes leadership roles at VIP Industries, LEAD School and Myntra. At VIP Industries, he worked on reversing a multi-year decline for its flagship brand. At LEAD School, he helped shape the brand narrative and PR strategy during its fundraise and growth towards unicorn status. At Myntra, he worked on scaling the company’s international brands portfolio.
At TechnoSport, Gadiyar will be responsible for shaping the company’s long-term brand strategy and positioning while strengthening its marketing capabilities across digital, social media, CRM, consumer insights, retail and multichannel marketing. He will work closely with teams across product, retail, e-commerce, sales and other business functions to strengthen the consumer proposition and connect marketing more closely with customer growth, revenue and long-term brand value.
The appointment comes as TechnoSport pursues an aggressive expansion strategy. The company is working towards expanding its exclusive brand outlet network to around 130 stores, while its express format is expected to reach 25 outlets. TechnoSport is also targeting ₹1,000 crore in revenue for FY27.
Commenting on the appointment, Puspen Maity, CEO of TechnoSport, said the company is entering an important phase of hyper growth where building a strong and distinctive consumer brand will be critical. He highlighted Gadiyar’s combination of brand-building experience and commercial leadership across categories and channels.
Gadiyar’s appointment adds experienced consumer and brand leadership to TechnoSport as it works to strengthen its market positioning and scale its retail presence. His background across Wildcraft, Titan, Tanishq, VIP Industries, LEAD School and Myntra brings together brand strategy, commercial leadership and consumer marketing experience for the company’s next phase of expansion.
