AI-powered consumer intelligence platform i-Genie.ai has appointed Amit Adarkar as Chief Executive Officer for India, marking a key leadership addition as the company prepares to expand its presence in the country and across the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
Adarkar will lead the company’s formal entry into the Indian market while overseeing strategic growth initiatives across multiple regional markets. The appointment comes shortly after he stepped down from his position as CEO, India at Ipsos, a role he held for more than a decade while leading one of the global research firm’s fastest growing markets.

i-Genie.ai was launched three years ago by former Unilever executives Stan Sthanunathan and Paul van Gendt. The company currently employs more than forty professionals and provides consumer insight solutions to organisations operating in over 25 countries.
The platform offers real-time, data-driven intelligence through its agentic insights layer known as Presto. This system enables users to ask complex questions in natural language and receive immediate answers derived from integrated customer datasets, market intelligence, and category insights across multiple geographies.
The company secured $7.5 million in Series A funding in September last year as it continued to scale its artificial intelligence-powered research and analytics platform globally.
At i-Genie.ai, Adarkar will work closely with a leadership team that includes former senior research executives from global consumer goods companies such as Unilever and Coca-Cola. India also serves as a key hub for the company’s client success, engineering, data science, and analytics teams.
His appointment comes shortly after the company strengthened its technology leadership with the hiring of George Stoikos as Chief Technology Officer. Stoikos previously played a significant role in building the subscription business of IT services and consulting company CDW, growing it from zero to more than one billion dollars over eight years starting in 2014.

Before joining i-Genie.ai, Adarkar built an extensive career in the market research and consumer insights industry. In addition to his long tenure at Ipsos, he has held senior leadership roles at organisations including MarketGate Dimensions Research, Nielsen BASES, and Market Probe India, contributing to strategic research initiatives and growth across global markets.
