Andhra Pradesh Commissions First Multi-Company Innovation Park in Nellore

India — Andhra Pradesh has commissioned its first multi-company innovation park, Nexus Innovation Hub, in Nellore, marking a significant step toward strengthening technology-driven economic growth and expanding digital employment opportunities in tier-II cities.

The newly launched innovation hub currently has a capacity of 200 seats, with around 120 technology professionals already working on AI-powered products and digital solutions for global markets. The initiative is aimed at building a sustainable technology ecosystem in Nellore while creating local employment opportunities across emerging technology sectors.

The hub was inaugurated by Nellore Member of Parliament Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, who emphasized the importance of developing technology ecosystems beyond major metropolitan cities. Speaking during the inauguration, he noted that technology companies should increasingly look toward India’s hinterland for talent and innovation development.

“Ten years from now, the students of tier-II cities should not be compelled to leave their homeland for the sake of their careers,” Reddy stated, highlighting the broader vision of enabling high-value technology careers within smaller cities and regional economic centres.

Nexus Innovation Hub was founded by Renil Komitla, CEO of Terralogic Solutions and a Nellore native who moved to the United States in 1998 before building Terralogic into a global technology company with operations spanning five countries and a workforce of more than 1,300 employees.

Commenting on the initiative, Komitla said the project represents the evolution of a broader local technology ecosystem that began with a single Terralogic office established in Nellore in 2022.

“What began as a single Terralogic office in 2022 in Nellore has now grown into a hub of companies spanning enterprise software, cybersecurity, educational technology, healthcare, design, and marketing, staffed almost entirely by the local talent pool,” he said.

Several companies have already begun operations at the facility, including Blazeup AI, FlyView, Smartail.ai, and Lollypop Design Studio. The innovation hub aims to reach full occupancy of 200 seats within the next six months and has outlined plans to create approximately 1,000 technology jobs within the next two years.

Industry observers note that tier-II and tier-III cities are increasingly emerging as important destinations for technology expansion, AI development, digital services, and startup ecosystems as companies seek access to skilled talent, lower operational costs, and regional innovation opportunities.

The launch also reflects the growing decentralization of India’s technology sector, where states and local ecosystems are increasingly investing in innovation infrastructure, AI-led startups, digital skilling, and regional technology entrepreneurship to drive long-term economic development.
