Anubha Chamadia Takes on New Role as Head of Partner Strategy & Operations – India & APJ Distribution at AWS

Anubha Chamadia has taken on a new leadership role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as Head of Partner Strategy & Operations – India & APJ Distribution. In the new position, she will lead strategy, operations and planning for AWS’s India Partner Organisation and its distribution business across the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

Chamadia announced the role transition on LinkedIn, describing it as a new chapter after serving as Head of Sales Strategy & Planning for ASEAN & India. She said her previous role involved working with global teams on go-to-market and segmentation strategies and translating those strategies for the requirements of markets across the APJ region.

In her new role, Chamadia is focused on building the operational and strategic foundation required to support the growth of AWS’s partner business. Her responsibilities span strategy, operations and planning for the India partner organisation, alongside the distribution business across APJ.

Before taking up the new position, Chamadia served as Head of Sales Strategy & Planning for ASEAN & India at AWS. In that role, she worked on go-to-market and segmentation strategies, collaborating with global teams and regional markets to translate broader strategies into market-level execution.

Her professional background also includes experience at Salesforce, where she spent around three years in sales strategy leadership. In a post reflecting on her time at Salesforce, Chamadia said the experience involved working across diverse opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and addressing complex business challenges. She subsequently moved to AWS for a new phase of her career.

Chamadia’s public professional profile describes her as a strategy and operations leader with experience in APAC go-to-market strategy, operations and planning. Her career has therefore been centred on business strategy, sales planning, operations and translating commercial priorities into execution across regional markets.

Her experience in the technology sector also includes exposure to cloud and enterprise technology businesses. While at Salesforce, she was recognised as a finalist in the Channel Asia Women in ICT Awards 2022 in the Rising Star category. The recognition highlighted her work in the technology sector and her contribution to business initiatives.

Chamadia has also completed an MBA from the Indian School of Business, according to her public professional profile. She holds an undergraduate degree and has continued to build expertise in technology and business strategy during her career. Her professional certifications include the AWS Certified AI Practitioner credential, issued in 2025.

In her announcement, Chamadia thanked Adam Kwon for his support during her previous chapter and Reshmi Subramanian for the trust placed in her for the new role. She said she is looking forward to building the engine that helps the partner business scale.

The new position places Chamadia at the intersection of strategy, operations, partner management and distribution within AWS. Her focus will cover the India partner organisation as well as AWS’s distribution business across APJ, expanding the scope of her previous regional sales strategy and planning responsibilities.

The move marks a broader responsibility for Chamadia within AWS, bringing together her experience in go-to-market strategy, segmentation, sales planning and regional operations as she takes on responsibility for supporting the company’s partner and distribution business across India and the wider APJ region.
