Basan Gouda S has joined JSW Energy Ltd as Vice President and Head – IT & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), taking on a senior technology and cybersecurity leadership role at the energy company.
Gouda announced that he has started his new position as Vice President and Head – IT & CISO at JSW Energy. His new role brings together responsibility for information technology and cybersecurity at the company.
JSW Energy is part of the JSW Group and operates across power generation, energy solutions, energy storage, transmission and power trading. The company has been expanding its renewable energy portfolio while also developing capabilities in energy storage and green hydrogen.
The company says its installed power generation capacity stood at 15 GW as of July 2026, while its locked-in generation portfolio was 32.4 GW as of March 2026. JSW Energy has also set a target of around 40 GWh of storage capacity by 2030.
