American Express has named Bharat Raizada as its Global Head of Enterprise Cloud, a strategic appointment underscoring the company’s focus on scaling secure, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. Raizada brings with him over 20 years of technology leadership experience across banking, consulting, and financial services, with a proven track record in driving digital transformation at scale.
Prior to joining American Express, Raizada served as Managing Director & Chief Technology Officer for India and Philippines at Wells Fargo, where he oversaw a team of more than 3,000 professionals. In this role, he was responsible for shaping enterprise technology infrastructure, cloud engineering (both public and private), developer platforms, API management, observability, AIOPS, and the adoption of Generative AI for software development. His tenure also saw him taking on global leadership roles as Head of CTO Architecture and Head of DevX Toolchains, where he played a pivotal role in large-scale engineering modernization and digital-first strategies.
Raizada’s career spans several marquee organizations, each adding depth to his expertise in enterprise technology and risk management. At JPMorgan Chase & Co., he served as Executive Director, leading critical technology initiatives. His earlier stints include Vice President – Senior Engineer at Goldman Sachs, Manager at Cognizant Technology Solutions, and Senior Consultant at ECS Consulting (PwC Consulting India). He also contributed significantly to program management at BNY Mellon | Pershing and started his career as a software engineer with CGI.
Across these roles, Raizada has built a strong reputation for his leadership in global delivery models, IT strategy, cloud transformation, regulatory frameworks, and enterprise-scale engineering solutions.
