
Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) has named Durga Bharath Attaluri as its new Chief Information Security and Data Protection Officer, entrusting him with the responsibility of advancing the company’s global agenda on information security and data privacy. With more than two decades of expertise across compliance, governance, data protection, and enterprise risk management, he will play a central role in strengthening BGSW’s security posture in an era of increasing regulatory scrutiny and digital transformation.
Attaluri brings a proven track record of leading security, privacy, and compliance initiatives across multiple industries and geographies. At Wipro, he served in senior leadership capacities including Head – Global Compliance and Director – Global Data Privacy Head, overseeing operations across more than 65 countries. In these roles, he shaped enterprise-wide policies, aligned compliance frameworks with evolving global regulations, and managed complex data privacy landscapes across diverse jurisdictions.
His professional journey also includes leadership and strategic contributions at Honeywell, IBM, Axis Risk Consulting Services Private Limited (a Genpact company), Paxar India, Volvo India, and Siemens VDO Automotive. Across these roles, he developed deep expertise in governance models, internal controls, and risk management, while helping organizations align business operations with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
At BGSW, his mandate will encompass building robust security frameworks, ensuring compliance with international data protection standards, and safeguarding enterprise and client data across the company’s global footprint. His leadership comes at a time when enterprises are under heightened pressure to address cybersecurity threats, data privacy challenges, and regulatory expectations simultaneously.
By leveraging his rich cross-industry experience, Attaluri is expected to drive a comprehensive information security strategy for Bosch Global Software Technologies—balancing regulatory compliance with business agility, and embedding security as a foundation for trust and innovation.
