Firstsource has appointed Kumaran Shanmuhan as its new Chief Strategy Officer, entrusting him with shaping a unified strategy that integrates the company’s market-leading capabilities while advancing its UnBPO™ approach. In this capacity, he will collaborate closely with the CEO and the leadership team to accelerate growth opportunities, enhance client outcomes, and strengthen Firstsource’s role as a technology-driven orchestrator of business transformation.
Shanmuhan brings with him a wealth of experience across strategy, technology, and AI-enabled transformation. Over his career, he has held senior leadership roles at Uniphore, Jacada, Apparity, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he built a track record of driving innovation, forging global alliances, and enabling large-scale digital change.
At Uniphore, he served as Vice President of Strategic AI Consulting and Vice President of Industry Solutions, where he was instrumental in shaping AI-led enterprise growth and securing multimillion-dollar client partnerships. His tenure at Jacada saw him take on the roles of Chief Growth Officer and Global Vice President of Solutions, where he spearheaded go-to-market transformations and established strategic alliances with consulting giants such as McKinsey, Accenture, Deloitte, and Cognizant. His efforts helped enterprises including Microsoft, Allstate, Allianz, Nationwide, and DHL achieve significant digital transformation outcomes.
Shanmuhan also co-founded Apparity, scaling it to a successful acquisition, and earlier in his career, he worked with TCS in technology consulting, contributing to mission-critical systems. This blend of entrepreneurial drive, consulting expertise, and deep industry knowledge positions him strongly to lead Firstsource’s strategic evolution.
