Dhruva Space Appoints Rama Krishna Reddy as Senior Vice President, Software Engineering & AI

Dhruva Space has appointed Rama Krishna Reddy C. as Senior Vice President, Software Engineering & AI, marking his move from enterprise software and SaaS leadership into the space technology sector. Reddy announced the appointment on LinkedIn, saying he has joined Dhruva Space and will focus on scaling software engineering and embedding artificial intelligence across the company’s core functions.

Reddy joins Dhruva Space after stepping down from Spoors, the Hyderabad-based SaaS company he co-founded. He said he took a four-month break before beginning his new role. At Spoors, Reddy served as Founder and CEO, and the company developed no-code workflow and workforce-management technology for businesses. Public company profiles identify Spoors as having been founded in 2013 and describe its platform as supporting field-force management, workflow automation and mobility solutions.

Before moving into the space sector, Reddy built a career around enterprise technology, software platforms, data systems and artificial intelligence. His professional profile identifies him as a former Director of Microsoft’s Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence and a former IT Head of Intel’s Data Warehouse Group, in addition to his experience as an entrepreneur and SaaS platform leader.

At Dhruva Space, Reddy said he plans to bring his experience in building scalable platforms, enterprise data systems and AI architecture to the space technology industry. His responsibilities will focus on expanding software engineering capabilities and integrating AI across core business functions with the aim of improving operational efficiency and supporting innovation.

The appointment comes alongside the launch of A.S.T.R.A.V.I.E.W., a Dhruva Space-developed space-based imagery platform. Reddy said his first day at the company coincided with the product’s launch. AstraView is designed as an access layer for satellite imagery and brings together imagery from multiple sources, including optical, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and hyperspectral data, according to the platform’s official website.

Dhruva Space describes AstraView as a space-based imagery services solution built around resolution, revisit and cost. The platform is intended to provide users with access to satellite imagery and capabilities such as satellite tasking, archive searches and multi-sensor planning.

Reddy’s arrival also comes as Dhruva Space continues to develop its broader space-technology portfolio. The company describes its offering as spanning satellite platforms, launch services, ground stations and AstraView, providing integrated or individual technology solutions for space-based applications. Dhruva Space is headquartered in Hyderabad and operates across the space-technology ecosystem.

The move follows a significant transition for Reddy after his tenure at Spoors. Spoors recently entered a new phase after joining forces with Botree Software International, combining Spoors’ mobile-first workflow automation capabilities with Botree’s distribution-management and sales-force automation solutions.

Reddy’s appointment adds enterprise software, data and AI leadership experience to Dhruva Space as the company expands the software layer around its space-technology offerings. His mandate will centre on strengthening software engineering and applying AI across the organisation, while AstraView represents one of the platforms through which Dhruva Space is extending access to satellite-derived data and imagery.
