Niraj Kumar has taken on the role of Partner – Risk Consulting at EY, marking a significant milestone in his 25-year career across risk, internal audit, and governance.
In this role, he will focus on advising organizations on strengthening risk frameworks, enhancing internal audit effectiveness, and driving governance and compliance strategies in an increasingly complex business environment.
Prior to joining EY, he served as Senior Vice President – Global Head of Internal Audit, Forensic & Risk at OYO from October 2018 to March 2026 in Gurugram, Haryana, India. During his tenure, he led global audit and risk functions, contributing to governance and compliance frameworks.
He also held the position of Vice President and Global Head of Internal Audit, Forensic and Risk at OYO from October 2018 to December 2022, further strengthening enterprise-wide risk and audit capabilities.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at KPMG, Carrefour India, Walmart India, Max India Limited, and Reliance Retail, building deep expertise across risk consulting and governance.
In addition to his corporate roles, he is a Special Invitee to the Internal Audit Standards Board at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since April 2025. He is also actively engaged as a thought leader and speaker across forums including ICAI, IIA, FICCI, Assocham, and leading management institutions.
He also serves as a Member of the Board of Governors at the Institute of Internal Auditors Delhi Branch, contributing to the advancement of audit and governance practices.
